We have been doing one thing since 2012
Actual Reports was founded in Estonia in 2012 around a problem that has not gone away: businesses spend an extraordinary amount of time producing documents that a machine could produce for them. Invoices typed out twice. Packing slips copied by hand. Labels laid out in a word processor because nothing else fit the sheet.
We have spent more than a decade on that problem, from two offices, a headquarters in Tallinn and operations in Brno, with products now used in more than 40 countries.
The same problem from two directions
Some of the people who came to us were developers who needed documents generated inside their own software. That became PDF Generator API, where a template and a payload go in and a finished document comes out.
Others were running an online store and had no interest in an API. They needed an invoice that looked like their brand, a packing slip their warehouse could actually use, and for both to arrive without anyone opening a file. That became Printout Designer.
Different people, same conviction: a document is a template plus data, and the person who designs it should never have to be the person who writes the code.
Built for a regulated environment
Our infrastructure is ISO 27001 certified and hosted in the EU, and Actual Reports is a member of the PDF Association. For a store handling customer data and tax documents, that is worth more than it sounds.
