Document automation for Shopify, BigCommerce, Ecwid and WooCommerce
Printout Designer connects directly to your store and takes over the paperwork behind every order. Documents are generated, printed and emailed on their own, using rules built around your platform’s own order statuses. It works the same way on Shopify, BigCommerce, Ecwid and WooCommerce.
Supported platforms

Shopify
Shopify runs stores of every size, and the paperwork grows with them. Design documents in the drag-and-drop editor, print a batch whenever it suits you, and let rules built on Shopify order statuses handle the rest. Stores selling online and over a counter get documents for both.

BigCommerce
BigCommerce is built for high-volume stores, and volume is where order paperwork stops being manageable by hand. Edit a template to your own layout, send orders to a printer through PrintNode, and set rules on BigCommerce order statuses so documents go out without anyone opening them. Warehouse copies can carry bin picking numbers and staff notes the customer never sees.

Ecwid
Ecwid puts a store on any site or social channel, often alongside a counter in a shop. Change any template to suit how you sell, print or email as you go, and add rules on Ecwid order statuses when you want it handled for you. Customer tax IDs, chosen product options and pickup details come through for the documents that need them.

WooCommerce
WooCommerce turns a WordPress site into a store, with plugins filling in whatever it needs. Build the document you actually want, print in bulk or email it straight to the customer, and trigger it from WooCommerce order statuses. The data your plugins write to an order comes through as well.

Most document apps live on one platform. Printout Designer works the same way on four, so a merchant who moves from one to another, or runs stores on two at once, keeps the same editor, the same automation rules and the same way of working.
Drag and drop, conditional formatting, barcodes and the expression language behave identically, whichever platform the order came from.
Rules are triggered by order statuses, and each platform names and uses its own, so a rule is built around the statuses your store actually works with.
A document can print through PrintNode, arrive in the customer’s inbox, or both. Print rules and email rules are configured on their own, so each one is triggered by what suits it.
Select the orders you want and print or download them together. One combined document comes out, whichever platform they came from.
Questions, answered
Yes. An account connects to one store, so a second store runs on its own account, whether it is on the same platform or a different one.
The editor, automation rules, bulk printing and email delivery work the same way everywhere. What differs is the detail: each platform has its own order statuses and its own order data, so a rule and a template are built around what your platform actually provides.
Yes. Export it from one account and import it into another from the editor. Because platforms name their fields differently, an import across platforms needs some fields remapped.
For Shopify, BigCommerce and Ecwid you install it from the platform’s own app marketplace. WooCommerce takes a short guided setup using your store’s API keys, with no coding required.
No. Connecting a store and printing a first document takes a few minutes, and templates are edited by dragging fields rather than writing code.
