Packing Slip Templates for BigCommerce

A packing slip is what someone works from while filling the box. These templates cover a single order with product images or QR codes, as well as slips and pick lists that pull several orders together so a batch can be picked in one pass.

Fields

What you can put on a BigCommerce packing slip

Order data

Picking happens at speed, usually with a scanner in hand, so the right item and the right quantity have to be easy to find. Every field is filled from the order itself, so nothing is typed twice. These templates can show:

  • store details and order number
  • billing and shipping address, with company name
  • order date and shipping method
  • line items with SKU, UPC, brand and quantity
  • the bin picking number for each item
  • quantity ordered, shipped and still outstanding
  • item weight and stock level
  • gift wrapping name and message

Internal values

A packing slip is a working document, so it can carry things that never reach the customer. Staff notes arrive separately from the customer’s own message, and anything else your store keeps, whether in product and variant metafields or in the custom fields on each line, can sit right beside the item it belongs to.
