When to use it
When to send a sales receipt
An invoice asks to be paid. A sales receipt is sent after the money has arrived, as proof that it did.
Proof of purchase
Customers get a document they can keep for warranty claims, returns or expense reports.
Buyers who paid by bank transfer
When payment arrives later than the order, the receipt confirms it has been received and the order is settled.
A follow-up after payment
Sent when the order is marked paid, it tells the customer their payment went through without anyone writing an email.

Adjust the receipt in the editor
Nothing on the preset is fixed. You can:
- Add your logo, fonts and colors
- Add a returns policy or thank-you message as text
- Show SKUs or discount codes on each line
- Change the paid badge wording or hide it with a condition on the payment status
- Place order metafields or line item properties on the receipt
